At Hockey Video Training, we analyze all of the shifts in a game for a player.  We then record our voices going over the shifts while pausing and drawing on the game footage to help illustrate how we would see the ice in certain situations.  This method really helps the players gain insight into alternative decisions or options.  We focus on choosing options that will lead to higher probabilities of success on the ice and while simultaneously increasing efficiency. 

One of the main focuses we have is on strategies to increase team puck possession.  With increased puck possession, players will have an increased opportunity for personal points and more importantly, it will give their team a better chance for success. 

We find many players aren’t taught how to read certain situations on the ice.  It is very important to make very quick in-game decisions that give you the best probable chance for positive outcomes. This is how we help grow individuals' hockey IQ and increase their on-ice Mind-Speed. 

Player development video training is far more prevalent in other sports and we believe this is the way hockey is going.  Being able to consistently make good split-second decisions on the ice is what can end up making the difference between playing on the 1st line or the 4th line, or between getting to that higher level or plateauing.

We are fully customizable.  We can provide single game or multi-game packages.  We can incorporate add-ons like NHL video clips in similar game situations - we input these NHL clips right after the clip of the player themselves. We have found this can be a great teaching tool for players.  We can create a personal “highlight” video for players to use for future recruitment purposes. These videos will not be just a compilation of every point - instead, they will be a compilation of the great plays in all three zones of the ice regardless if they ended up in a goal or not.
